We are very excited to announce the launch of our second River Cottage Festival!
The 2008 festival has now sold out. If you would like to register your interest for cancellations, or for the 2009 festival, please register your details at the bottom of the page.
The event will build on the success of last year’s festival and our recently sold out Fair to combine the most successful elements of both.
We are throwing open the gates and inviting you to join us in celebrating everything River Cottage from the farm, hedgerows, garden and sea to the plate. As always our focus is local; so we have brought together some of our very best producers for you to meet and shop from in our Local Producers Market.
We will be offering an array of demonstrations from our fantastic River Cottage contributors such as our brilliant forager John Wright and preserving expert Pam Corbin. Plus there will be woodland skills demonstrations, which include basket making, wood whittling and much more. Pam, John and of course Hugh will be signing copies of their books during the day – Pam has written our second handbook ‘Preserves’ so grab your copy on the day.

There will be tours of the gardens, orchards, livestock and farm with the opportunity to meet our hard working garden and land team.
And as there will be lots of kids on the day we have organised face painting, and invited back the famous Tula Swirls Puppet Theatre after such a great response last year. All to the backdrop of live music from stomping local bands. Lunch will be available to buy straight from the River Cottage barbeques and bread ovens. As well as lashings of our River Cottage Stinger Beer and local cider…
Entrance for the day is just £15 per adult, and children under 12 (up to 2 per adult) are completely free. The number of tickets will be limited, so please book early! I'm really hoping to see you there.
