Join Hugh and the River Cottage Team for an evening at River Cottage HQ.
Hugh and the team have an uncompromising commitment to seasonality and the very best local produce, and these evenings are a special celebration of what is best in Devon and Dorset at this time of year.
As the basis of his demonstration, and the dinner that follows, Hugh will choose the very best local produce available on the day. There's sure to be something picked on the day from the River Cottage HQ garden, and the meat is often sourced from Hugh's own farm. The very best local growers and producers, and the finest fish from the Dorset coast, will also be represented on Hugh's specially chosen menu.
The evening will begin with Hugh demonstrating how to prepare a selection of the dishes chosen for the dinner. He will also be available to answer your questions about seasonal growing and cooking, local food networks, and the River Cottage food philosophy.
Hugh will then hand over to the River Cottage team who will serve you a four-course dinner, featuring the dishes you have just seen him prepare.
This cookery part of the event is demonstration based. Practical participation is not required, although volunteers are encouraged to take part in the demonstrations, at some point during the day.
Location: This course is run from River Cottage H.Q on the Dorset/Devon borders. Full address details of H.Q. will be provided once you have booked.
Wine/drink: We are a licensed venue. We also have a Bring Your Own policy and we do not charge corkage. We have a wide selection of the finest organic wines. We will be serving Elderflower cordial and iced water from our own well.

We don't have camping facilities but for information on local campsites and self catering accommodation, call the Lyme Regis Tourist Information Office on 01297 442 138. They will be very happy to help.
Age: The minimum age on this event is 12yrs of age. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. We put these guidelines for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our guests.
