Vegetarian Night at River Cottage

Come and join the River Cottage team to celebrate some of the best local VEGETARIAN produce Dorset and Devon have to offer.

Due to the sell out popularity of our all veggie Friday Night at River Cottage, we thought we would release a new event, dedicated to delicious, unusual vegetarian food.

The menu, Gill skillfully puts together, will be abounded with the freshest, crispest, most delicious seasonal vegetables, created in all sorts of unusual dishes. Some of the produce will be home-grown in our River Cottage Garden, the rest from local producers on the neighbouring farms and small holdings. Below is a Summertime sample menu, of what you can expect to eat on this exciting new event.

The evening will begin at 7.30pm. Whilst you nibble on handmade canapes with a glass of bubbly in hand, one of our gardening experts will begin the evening by introducing the produce that you will be eating that night, talking about how it has been grown, selected and cooked. Your host will then hand over to your Head Chef for the evening, who will explain how your meal has arrived at your table.

At about 8pm, we will sit down to a four course set menu. The evening will end with coffee and petit fours at around 10.30pm.

Your carriage, in the form of our very own tractor trailer, will rumble you back up the hill, at around 11pm.
