Cook with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at River Cottage

Join River Cottage founder Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall for an unforgettable day of seasonal cooking at River Cottage HQ. Limited to just ten guests, this hands-on experience offers a rare opportunity to cook alongside Hugh, explore the beauty of organic ingredients, and share a truly special meal together.

Your day begins with coffee and conversation before heading out with Hugh to gather fresh, seasonal produce from the River Cottage Kitchen Garden and farm. With baskets full, it’s time to head to the kitchen, where you’ll take part in two lively cookery sessions: the first led by Hugh himself, the second by one of our expert tutor chefs.

As the day draws to a close, you’ll sit down to a shared feast celebrating the fruits of your labour, paired with organic drinks from the River Cottage cellar. There will be time for book signings, photos, and relaxed conversation around the table. To take home, every guest will receive a River Cottage book of their choice, personally signed by Hugh as a lasting reminder of a remarkable day.

SESSION THREE

Under the guidance of one of our skilled Chef Tutors, you'll create a meat or fish dish that will become part of your feast later in the day.

RELAX WITH A DRINK

The River Cottage Kitchen team will put the finishing touches on your dishes while you relax with a glass of fizz and canapés. Now is the perfect opportunity to get a book signed or have a photo with Hugh.
