Finish the day by making a West Country classic, the pasty, filled with a tasty seasonal vegetable mix.

Well organised, relaxed, great environment to learn – I enjoyed the course and it was inspiring too!

  2. Jon

Very good, with a station at the back a little more leader circulation during the making activities would have been appreciate. Otherwise excellent experience.

It was our (my daughter & I) first River Cottage event. The Great Pies course exceeded our expectations in terms of the professionalism and knowledge of the Chef (Chiara) & her team in putting together a great pie making course. The venue size and number of participants made it an intimate and sociable gathering. A good day out spending quality time with my daughter. She loved it.

Great day – super well organised and we came away confident to make pies and pastry at home. Top tips for savoury and sweet pastries and pie techniques.

“I had a wonderful time at River Cottage, everyone was very welcoming, and Chiara was so
knowledgable and made everything look so easy! I’ve always thought pastry was a bit
daunting but now I feel much more confident in tackling 3 different kinds! Big thank you to
    everyone working there.”

Brilliant chef for the day, it was amazing thankyou, and really appreciate the hard work and effort that must go on behind the scenes everyday to organise all you do, as well as to do the day itself thankyou.

“It was exactly the course I wanted. I’ve never made pastry from scratch as an adult and Gelf made it all feel completely do-able.”
