We’re delighted to invite you to one of the most exclusive dining experiences at River Cottage, an intimate evening personally curated by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall for just 40 guests. This four-course feast celebrates the very best of the season, created with the finest local ingredients from our farm, garden, and trusted growers.
You’ll dine in our beautiful 18th-century threshing barn, where Hugh will join you for an evening of food, conversation, and connection. Enjoy a welcome drink and canapés, chat with Hugh, have your books signed, and capture a photo together before sitting down to your meal.
Each dish follows our SLOW ethos, Seasonal, Local, Organic, and Wild, reflecting Hugh’s passion for thoughtful, sustainable food.
With only a handful of dates each year, this event is truly one-of-a-kind. Planning a gathering of 10 or more? Ask about our private dining packages for special occasions.

Is this event suitable for me? We can accommodate some food intolerances and allergies at our dining events, providing that these are mentioned when you make your reservation. Dietary accommodations we can make include those for vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian diets, those who are pregnant, and those with dairy, gluten, nut or shellfish allergies (we recommend you bring your epi pen). “I was treated to a Farm to Table Feast by my family as a birthday present. It was great from start to finish. Picked up from car park to ride down in Land Rover. Shown to table and sat alongside other special diet customers. Such a relief to be able to enjoy a meal without worry of eating things I shouldn’t. The menu contained some things that were new to me and were all enjoyed.”
Brilliant chef for the day, it was amazing thankyou, and really appreciate the hard work and effort that must go on behind the scenes everyday to organise all you do, as well as to do the day itself thankyou.
Great food and all fresh and local, fabulous staff, we picked up plenty of tips
We all said how much we liked each course. It was a lot of food, but not too much. I liked the story that was woven from the local land, local suppliers and what was in season back to curation of menu.
Not a single, even minuscule, criticism. Was just perfect!
