Grill on the Deck at the River Cottage Kitchen

At the River Cottage Kitchen, we’ll be firing up our Somerset Grill on the terrace for relaxed summer evenings filled with smoky seasonal cooking, delicious local produce, and beautiful countryside views.

Expect a delicious menu of home-reared meats, locally-landed fish, and an abundance of seasonal veg, all cooked over fire and served fresh from the grill.

Bring the whole family along – children and well-behaved dogs are very welcome, making it the perfect laid-back summer evening to enjoy together.

Tickets cost £5 per person, and you’ll receive a £5 voucher on entry to redeem against food or drink on the night.

Our chefs will be at the barbecue all evening, serving freshly grilled dishes from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Come along whenever suits you during service and enjoy a relaxed evening on the terrace.

ARRIVE

Make your way into the River Cottage Kitchen, check in with the team, and collect your £5 voucher to spend on food or drink during the evening. There's no need to arrive right at 6:30pm – food will be served throughout the evening until 9:30pm.

EAT

Browse the barbecue menu and watch our chefs cook over the grill, serving a seasonal selection of freshly grilled dishes.

ENJOY

Settle in on the terrace, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy a relaxed summer evening overlooking the Axe Valley.

DRINKS

We source our drinks as carefully as our food. After enjoying a welcome drink on us, our extensive drinks list will be available for you with orders taken from the table throughout the evening. This includes our own River Cottage range of organic Wine, Ciders, Beers, and Kombuchas, and a carefully curated wine list of mostly organic and biodynamic wines. There’s always a seasonal cocktail or two on offer as well. If you want some direction from our team, we can help you pair drinks perfectly with the days’ menu. Do ask them when they come around to take your drinks orders.
