Join us at River Cottage for a seasonal lunch
Join us for a truly seasonal dining experience at River Cottage, where our award-winning chefs create a daily menu inspired by the freshest ingredients from our garden, farm, and trusted local growers. Every dish celebrates the season’s best, ensuring no two lunches are ever the same.
You’ll dine in our beautiful 18th-century threshing barn, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the farm. Each course reflects our SLOW ethos, Seasonal, Local, Organic, and Wild, crafted with care to showcase the natural flavours of our region.
See a sample menu here, but please note that every experience is unique and shaped by the seasons. Our menus are finalised on the morning of each lunch, so we can use the very best ingredients available on the day.

Is this event suitable for me? We can accommodate some food intolerances and allergies at our dining events, providing that these are mentioned when you make your reservation. Brilliant chef for the day, it was amazing thankyou, and really appreciate the hard work and effort that must go on behind the scenes everyday to organise all you do, as well as to do the day itself thankyou.
We all said how much we liked each course. It was a lot of food, but not too much. I liked the story that was woven from the local land, local suppliers and what was in season back to curation of menu.
The meal was amazing but it was the friendliness and care from the staff that made the day memorable

The long table is informal but pleasant and relaxed enough to focus properly on the food, which was stunning: beautifully prepared, lovely to look at and a pleasure to ‘interpret.’ Enjoyed the welcome/intro by Chiara Tomasoni. Short but good wine list although a fully dry cider would also be welcome.
