If you love fine food, the River Cottage Chef’s Table is an experience not to be missed. Enjoy a seven-course feast expertly crafted by our Head Chef, Chiara Tomasoni— as seen on MasterChef: The Professionals—and her talented team. Each dish highlights seasonal flavours, perfectly paired with drinks to complement every bite.

Throughout the evening, the team will guide you through each dish, sharing the story behind its ingredients. You’ll also have the opportunity to see the River Cottage kitchen garden, where our farm-to-table philosophy comes to life. Ingredients are sourced from our own farm, as well as from local fishermen, farmers, and artisans—our trusted friends and neighbours.

To elevate your experience, we’ve curated a drink pairing that adds an extra special touch to your meal. Featuring organic wines, River Cottage beers, ciders, and locally crafted spirits, each drink is carefully chosen to enhance the flavours of every course.

Your day

Arrive

You’ll be met at the top of the hill at 7.15pm and begin your River Cottage experience where you will be driven down the hill by our team. If it’s a lovely evening you can take a 10 minute walk through the wonderful pathways down to the farm, enabling you to really soak up the views of the valley.

Welcome

Meet the chefs who will be hosting your evening and enjoy a seasonal cocktail whilst you have a chance to explore the kitchen garden and your surroundings.

Main Event

You’ll be treated to a 7-course menu of fantastic local and seasonal produce, planned on the day to showcase the freshest and the best our garden and local suppliers have to offer. Throughout the evening your chef host will tell you more about our philosophy, the food’s provenance and how the dishes have been prepared.

Drinks

Your menu will include a drinks pairing chosen to complement each dish. We source our drinks as judiciously as our food, with our own River Cottage range of organic ciders, beers and kombuchas, and a carefully curated wine list of 100% organic and biodynamic wines.

We are a licensed venue. We have a wide selection of the finest organic wines available to purchase.

Suitability

This event is for guests aged 13 and over. Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult. We put these guidelines in place for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our guests.

Allergy Advice

We can accommodate some food intolerances and allergies at our dining events, providing that these are mentioned when you make your reservation. Dietary accommodations we can make include those for vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian diets, those who are pregnant, and those with dairy, gluten, nut or shellfish allergies (we recommend you bring your epi pen). However, we cannot cater to dislikes or to any dietary restrictions that we feel may compromise our ethos or high standard of our menus.
