Over the last couple of years we have been increasing our range of River Cottage Organic products, created in partnership with producers we know and admire, and whose ethos embraces our own values of sustainable and ethical production. Gelf and I have hugely enjoyed collaborating with them to produce a completely original range of organic products that we’re really proud of, and that we know you’re going to love!

So now, as well as our long-established, award-winning River Cottage Yoghurts, you can also get your hands on our organic Kefirs, Veg Stocks, Sauerkrauts, Ketchups, Ciders, Beers, Sparkling wine and Kombucha, as well as our delightfully soothing Soaps and Balms.

CULTJAR

CULTJAR

After several months of meticulous development between Hugh and the CULTJAR team, we launched our new range of Live Organic Ferments in the summer of 2024. Each of the four gut-friendly recipes are gluten free and suitable for vegans. CULTJAR share our values and the ferments are made in their certified organic kitchen at Worminster Farm in Somerset – neighbouring Brown Cow Organics, a long-established River Cottage partnership producer. All of the ingredients are organic (favouring UK growers) and the seasonings and spices are ethically sourced direct from farmers and expertly blended for a superior flavour. These delicious ferments, sometimes also called krauts or sauerkrauts, are delicious on their own, paired with, or incorporated within other recipes, or simply enjoyed as a condiment – little and often is the best way to enjoy these beneficial probiotic live culture fermented foods.

Brown Cow Organics

Our partnership with Judith and the team at Brown Cow Organics partnership began way back in 2006. We team up to create a fantastic range of thick and creamy organic yoghurts, inspired by the high quality milk from their Guernsey cows and the seasonal fruit we grow at the farm. Like us, they are passionate about the ethics, quality, provenance and sustainability of the food they make (and eat!). We firmly agree with them, that the organic produce from their Somerset farm is a true reflection of the high level of welfare standards and nutrition of the animals from their farm.

Brown Cow Organics

Our partnership with Judith and the team at Brown Cow Organics partnership began way back in 2006. Stroud Brewery

We’ve joined forces with Stroud Brewery to bring you a trio of beers, shedding light on organic & ethical sources of food & drink. This beer trio showcases three botanical cousins – the aromatic hop in our Hopful, the nutty hemp in our Hempathy & the zesty nettle in our Stinger. All three celebrate the undisputed flavour champion, the humble hop, a key aromatic flavour ingredient for making flavour full beer yet difficult to grow organically here in the UK.

The launch of this trio of beers draws attention to the scarcity of this ingredient and promotes a ground breaking three-year project initiated by Greg at Stroud Brewery, through the Innovative Farmers programme. The project aims to identify and trial disease resistant hop varieties and enable the UK beer industry to become lower impact and organic!  Cheers to that!

We’ve joined forces with Stroud Brewery to bring you a trio of beers, shedding light on organic & ethical sources of food & drink. Paul, Gill and the team at Newton Court Cider have worked with us to create four smashing ciders, made with apples (and even elderflowers) from the River Cottage orchard and the fruit from Newton Court. Like us, Newton Court are committed to ensuring their land is bio-diverse and organic, with animals roaming the land and fallen apples finding their way back into the natural food chain. Which one will you choose on a warm summers eve: Bold Oak, Yarlington Mill, Orchard Vintage or Elderflower?

Our organic NV English Sparkling Wine is the perfect fizz for any and all celebrations. Oxney Organic Estate are one of the very best Organic Wine makers in Britain and care for their vineyard using natural organic methods that promote biodiversity and soil health. Working with Hugh and Gelf, we’ve created a sparkling organic wine that is full of toasty, orchard fruit flavours that linger on the tongue. Fermented twice in the bottle, this careful process leads to a flurry of tiny bubbles and a classic, but less often seen, naturally cloudy finish. It pairs perfectly with a cheese platters, and is regularly used for toasts over a table with friends at the RCHQ farm.

The organic, British-grown Sovereignty Hops make our Shangri-lager a homegrown hero you can sip on sustainably, with the ingredients sourced locally to help cut carbon costs. It’s this ethos that lead to us collaborating with Matt and the team at Freedom Brewery to create this delicious beverage. The crisp, floral notes of this beer are a perfect accompaniment to a hot summer’s day.
