Reducing Waste: Return Your Glass Yoghurt Jars

At River Cottage, we believe in the importance of reducing waste. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a new way for you to return your glass yoghurt jars through Milk & More. This initiative is similar to brands like LUSH, which champions the Black Pot scheme. By joining this movement, we can care for the environment one jar at a time.

Our River Cottage Organic yoghurts, produced in partnership with Brown Cow Organics, are now returnable. We’ve always wanted to provide a solution for our customers to reuse our glass jars instead of recycling them, and this partnership makes it possible.

Why Work with Again, the Reusable Packaging Company?

Again is a London-based technology company specialising in reverse logistics solutions for reusable packaging. They will wash, dry, and return our jars for reuse. Each jar will have a unique QR code on the base, indicating how many times it has been washed and reused

Here’s how it works: When you order River Cottage Organic dairy products from Milk & More, simply rinse your jars after use and leave them out for your milk person to collect. Again will then transfer the jars to their CleanCell micro-cleaning facilities, where they will be de-labelled, cleaned, dried, and inspected. After this thorough process, the jars will be returned to us for refilling with our delicious yoghurt and delivered back to your doorstep.
